This page is about the different types of food you can feed your chocobo not counting the food that changes your chocobo's color (for information on foods that change your chocobo's color, please go to the 'Dyeing' section). Your chocobo must be stabled to be fed.

Tips:

-Use the FFXIV Gardening website (Links page) to figure out what seeds are needed to cross-breed for the above chocobo feed seeds.

-Use Shroud Soil (obtained from Miner nodes) with the seeds to get more food per harvest.

-If chocobo is fed the same type of food enough times consecutively while stabled, the food can become the chocobo's favorite feed and give an even stronger buff when that food is used on the chocobo while it is summoned in battle (does not work with krakka roots or thavnairian onions).
Curiel Root:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, gives experience when fed in stable, gives a buff to experience gained in battle if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
Krakka Root:
Seeds bought from Material Suppliers in the housing wards for 3,480 gil, gives experience when fed in stable
Mimett Gourd:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, gives experience when fed, gives a buff to healing power in battle if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
Pahsana Fruit:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, gives experience when fed, gives a buff to enmity generation if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
Sylkis Bud:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, gives experience when fed, gives a buff to attack power if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
Tantalplant:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, gives experience when fed, gives a buff to health points if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
Thavnairian Onion:
Seeds obtained from gardening cross-breeding, increases level cap of a chocobo rank 10 or higher up to a maximum of rank 20 if fed to chocobo companion while it is summoned
